Adding ECU would just about squash the whole AAC raiding the SBC East.

If Memphis and Tulane balk at the exit fees to join the PAC, ECU ponies up for the SBC?

There is an expiration date on the current exit fee. Any move ECU would make would definitely be after that date.

ECU to the SBC would be huge. People are arguing for us to go to the PAC and they think ECU being in the Eastern part of the current SBC makeup is an issue?

A lot of talk here about what/where we should go and why has no factual basis. Conference affiliations are made by University Presidents NOT the athletic departments.

ECU definitely makes the SBC stronger and contrary to the belief of some this is a decent conference. Making it stronger helps all schools but also makes it easier to potentially move up.

Maybe the SBC is too hung up on a replacement must come from the west side of the conference footprint. Divisions are a choice, not a necessity for this conference. WKY makes sense to me, its a new State for the conference. However if a school further east is the best pick up SBC should consider them. Furthermore, assuming TX St. exits, the SBC should go all out inviting WKY, Mid Tenn, and Liberty then call it a day.

Hard no only Liberty only because they will always be the only deep pockets program in the league. Look at CUSA standing in all sports, at on near the top in most instances.

JMU’s athletic budget is $68 million, about $10 million more than liberty
