I can only bear to follow on live stats.
Final 11-2
I know Aly is too tough a competitor to be regretting her decision to come back to coach the Cajuns, but I know there’s got to be some restless nights for her.
COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Playing its final non-conference contest of the season, Louisiana fell to No. 2 Texas A&M, 11-2, on Tuesday at Davis Diamond in College Station, Texas.
As long as we don't let it carry over to the weekend we will be fine.
I guess we just don't have it this year.
This. The outcome of the A&M game was exactly what I thought it be. Anybody who was thinking the Cajuns would go to A&M and get the upset was fooling themselves. The Aggies just didn't luck into that No. 1 ranking. The Cajuns got some good work in last night which will help them for this weekend. They won't see the hitting and pitching at Texas State that they saw against the Aggies. Aly has the believing in themselves right now and they know that they can win against teams with similar talent. Coaching staff has got to do their job this weekend when it comes to pitching to know when its time to pull a pitcher. They have sometimes waited an inning too long this year and it has cost them some wins imo.
Don’t give up on this team. We have a few very loyal girls who stayed and some younger ones that we were able to pick up at the last minute. They’ve been developed into a fairly competitive “Sun Belt” team in a short period of time. Let’s see how far they can go. Then pray that we do well in recruiting and in the portal following.
While I still don’t understand some in-game decisions, I will say this team has held it together really well considering almost everything has worked against them since July.
They faced a schedule built for a team with hosting aspirations, been asked to fill roles many aren’t suited for and I think anyone who has watched them will agree, there has been no quit.
While consistent effort is expected, it’s not easy for D1 players to handle tough seasons as maturely as this team has when most of the players have always won at every previous level.
Big offseason upcoming, but would love to see this team get hot for a couple days next month.
