Mia and Gabbie were solid in the middle.

We had freshmen and sophomores not only contributing but playing substantially at six of the nine positions.

And while I am far from knowledgeable about this stuff, don’t look now, but Dayzja Williams is becoming a softball player.

Gabby is good, but we are much better with Vasquez at SS and Liscano at 2B. I totally agree with you about Williams.

No doubt about Vasquez and Liscano. I think Vasquez is probably one of the best gloves in the conference if not the country. And their chemistry is magical.

But when I got to the park Thursday night and they said that Vasquez wouldn’t be playing, I got a knot in my stomach.

We'll know more about Cissy tomorrow. She'll either need surgery or time to heal that finger which is in her right hand. She was cradling her right hand yesterday; it didn't look good. Hoping for the best!

I agree, but I think Vasquez is the straw that stirs the drink. She is clearly the leader of the infield when she is in the game.
