I imagine Kevin got OK from the program to release this story. I bet announcement of his signing comes soon.

I realize about potential and all that, but Mike, is this the most prominent signing since Kevin Brooks?

I was honestly a bit underwhelmed with the additions up to this point. Not now! Nice pickup, Coach Q!

Prior to this, I thought the guy with the most potential was Lavergne and he has not played 1 minute of D1 ball to date. I also think Elkington from Tech can be a solid player. His stats don't overwhelm but that is because he played behind one of the best mid major bigs in the nation. Lewis does change things. However, he will be a pure freshman so we should not expect him to be a savior. As far as rankings go, he likely is the highest rated HS player to come on board since Brooks. Yes Brown was rated higher but we did not get him until he had been in college awhile. Anthony Johnson (the Easter Bunny) was a highly rated HS player in the Jessie Evans era. People forget that due to he taking a while to get eligible. One service says Lewis is the highest rated player to ever sign here. Had rankings existed in the 70's, Andrew Toney would hands down be the top player coming out of HS we ever signed. He averaged over 30 ppg in HS. As far as other guys coming on board go, I think Coach White sees things in them he can bring forth. In his interview with Jay, he stated one of his strongest attributes is the development of players. You may see improvement here compared to their previous stops.
