I don’t about y’all, but I’m sick of all this pre-season hype. There are probably 8 teams in the state of Louisiana better than us. I’m not enjoying Cajun baseball so for this year, the team’s beating us are laughing at us. We are not progressing.

Eh.. this program just treads water until they fall ass backwards into an MLB prospect that flew under the radar of better teams.

It's a "duh" comment but if you remove Debarge from last year's team, I doubt we look much better than this year's team

I’m with you in being done with preseason hype. Kept hearing how deep this staff was. Can barely piece together a 3 game series, and then the midweeks are just a slugfest. Theut being out and Morgan missing several weeks doesn’t account for how bad this group was overestimated.

I don't recall the hitting being hyped this past preseason. There may have been hyping up of the pitching staff, but we knew we were going to have to fill some experienced holes in the lineup and in the infield. We were HOPING highly recruited Markle or Ardoin could fill the DeBarge gap.

And maybe one of them might eventually. Markle seemed to show promise at the plate and the field before his injury, but we'll see.

I didn't expect us to be this regressed from last year, but I also didn't think this was a team in the running for a possible high 2-seed like the previous season.

Just shows how little pitching depth we have recruiting and development issue. We have no shot at winning conference tournament with this pitching no depth at all.

I finally seen the truth mentioned out here a few times,, pitching coach that has NO proven record he can coach. Players cant necessarily coach,, and looking at Martinez it seems obvious ours is a mistake.

The real problem however is when Wells left-- he said he was burned out but truth was he could not work for Deggs any longer.... shame because now we are the rut of getting "easy" recruits from STM or Lake Charles. Recruiting is as bad as it was under JT,, just look at Tech,,,, the have NO NIL yet that team is light years better than us. Look at their signings-- they are ahead of us at every turn.

Our recruiter needs to drive out of Louisiana if we are to compete with the likes So Miss or other top of the heap teams.

Deggs cant coach pitchers-- at all-- our front line guys are throwing too much because 1/2 cant throw strikes and the other half should not be pitching here.
