Grace period will be two or three seasons. This roster and staff was gutted and the game is changing daily. Not sure what you mean holding coaches accountable. Lack of talent is probably a bigger issue. This staff has never worked together and it will take some time to gel. This will get figured out you just need to remain patience and be realistic.
The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Softball team had a game-long lead ripped out of its hands in the bottom of the seventh of the Sun Belt series opener at Coastal Carolina on Friday, March 28 when the host-Chanticleers rallied to walk off with a 5-4 win at St. John Stadium in Conway, South Carolina.
3 years? UL will be long forgotten as a consistent power in the softball world. That’s been “the standard”. Landscape is changing that fast. The new media contract the A2 got have them drunk on money now, enough to buy dominance in all sports.
Not a put down, it’s just where UL softball is.
But go ahead, get your last word in.
3 years? I don't know man. UL's softball program will be the Lady Techsters of basketball by then. Long gone and forgotten. My kid asked me the other day "LA Tech women's basketball used to be good" I told him yes they were a power house program a long time ago.
We should all expect the same standard by next year. NO way they should have lost that game yesterday. We should be able to compete with all these sunbelt teams now!
What the baseball team did yesterday to JMU, Coastal did to softball.
I missed the play live but in the replay it looked like whoever fielded the ball looked at first then threw to second too late. The fielder was out of frame. It was reviewed but appeared that it would not have been a close play if the throw went immediately to 2nd.
I think the tv guys mentioned it was a mistake too.
Well, that is another way to look at that situation. Liscano could have gone to second quicker, if she didn't look to see if we had someone covering first. She should have seen Smith move over to field the ball and possibly figured our pitcher would be there. When that didn't happen, her only play was to second.
