With less scholarships being offered to HS athletes and with the Portal, the hit to P5 programs including UL will be minimal. There will be quality athletes that don't want to play at the FCS, and will walk on because the in-state cost is lower than going out of state as a walk-on.
If someone is on TOPPS, under new guidelines would they be considered "on scholarship"
Ill be happy to see no more "academic" scholarships for c and d student baseball (sec) "walkons"
If they can fully fund them. The same for Baseball, Arizona has already announced it will give scholarships to its entire roster. I fully expect more P4s to do the same.
When it comes to football to my knowledge the scholarships will remain at 85 for UL now and the walk-on program will provide the other 20.
