We are in the dark valley, Cajuns fans.
While I understand it’s two different sports, some of the traits of merely being able to coach, or teach, and mentor can be the same. In fact, some are.
So it’s very possible for Gunner to have learned about coaching and had some good influences from this dad, despite different sports.
Well something happened, I undertsand team have bumps in the road and down years but this looks different than that. Hopefully its an anomaly. I saw a few commits recently say they are no longer committed, I hope thats because we are hitting the portal or found upgrades and not them jumoing ship. It was a few of them all on the same day.
I will wait and see how this year turns out before panicking. Baseball commitments come earlier and earlier, but mean less and less than years passed. That is the new world.
This pitching staff is so bad right now. It is the least competent, shallowest looking staff I remember.
The mid major baseball architecture has changed with the table tilted toward money, like everything else in society. Somehow Troy, Coastal, Southern Miss and even GA State seem to have it figured out so far. There is no reason we can't compete in this league as we have for a long time. This season may be the anomoly. I sure hope so.
Those schools will get raided soon enough. The Cajuns will be able to compete for Sunbelt championships, but the ceiling will slowly be inched down from CWS, to "maybe a super regional every now and then", to "just get into a regional", to "win the conference so we can get our 1 berth in the tournament"
They really have destroyed College Sports
Oh man. I tuned out yesterday when someone said it was about to get ugly. Glad I did.
We are at least competitive in most of the games I’ve seen in my 35 plus years watching the Cajuns and I don’t remember a beat down like this.
