Never trusting any preseason hype out of this program again. Last year Martinez was supposed to be the next great Cajuns pitcher. This year McGehee was supposed to have made humongous strides and be a top Saturday arm. The bullpen was supposed to be deep and talented. I could go on and on about what was supposed to happen and shame on me for not taking any of it with a grain of salt.
We keep on waiting for something to click but in reality it’s long past time to face the music. This is a bad baseball team. They may be young in a lot of areas, but they are not competitive at a good D1 level.
I don’t care who we are playing. We are about to get 10 run ruled in a midweek game. Ouch!
Cajun pitchers WALKED 12 AND HIT 4 BATTERS.
The team is on pace for 23 wins.
Get swept by mcneese state. Lose to southeastern and get run ruled by lsu who by the way would have scored 30 if they played 9. How fkn embarrassing. This team will be lucky to win 30 games. We may be lucky to go 500 the rest of the way.
When we hired Gunner, I was on board 100%. Looking around now I’m wondering if this is a case of someone being able to do something but not necessarily being able to teach it. This might be the worst staff I’ve witnessed as a Cajuns fan, and it’s the same story every damn night. Free pass after free pass. Is it the system? Did we miss evaluate an entire roster full of guys in recruiting? How can you trust the evaluation capabilities of a staff who looked at this bunch and thought pitching would be the strength of the team?
