It looks like the goal is to get experience in the midweek, and try to win the weekend. Chase Morgan is supposed to be back this week. It’ll be tough without Dylan Theut (ankle surgery) but that’s about the best strategy that can be used at this point.
As of right now, this team has played the #9 toughest schedule in the country.
SOS for both UL’s stick sports mean nothing when losses against less than average teams pile up.
Both come down to 6 games in May.
Southeastern Louisiana belted a pair of two-run home runs in the second inning before TJ Salvaggio added a solo blast in the eighth inning as the Lions claimed a 7-1 win over Louisiana on Wednesday at Pat Kenelly Diamond at Alumni Field.
We have not won a game on the road, 0-5. At 9-13 overall 0.409 winning % we are on pace for a 23-33 regular season.
There is no time like the present to right the ship. Hopefully, we can win this series.
As an at large bid is virtually out of the question at this point, this may be the appropriate philosophy at this stage. Team needs to finish at least 6th in the league regular season to avoid the play in games during the conference tournament. It will be tough to win the regular season with all the issues. Perhaps the team can peak at tournament time.
