It was the perfect way to get something done that wasn't going to get done.

The difference then was Bustle got on board and helped and Martin Hall didn't interfere.

I dont know if Bustle was on board or not. But lets not forget that Gerald Hebert was the one who got the community involved and made it all happen.

Wow! A blast from the past. Gerald just got things done. He saw what needed to be done and got word out without social media.

I still have a framed picture of Rafael Septien's field goal in 1971 that came out of the UL locker room from one of the organized "clean-up". Picture was going in the trash.

I think this really distills what I've been saying. It's an inflexibility on the part of this campaign that really gets me. A ton of folks do support it, obviously. But again, several major RCAF donors, alums, some non-communications university officials (on their personal pages), expressed hesitance with both the name and overall concept of Albineaux.

For some reason, this HAS to be Albineaux or bust for several folks in this thread. Not that there should be a mascot in general, but it HAS to be an alligator with a skin condition and named after the skin condition even though people aren't rocking with the name. I truly don't get it.

I was wrong it only felt like dozens.

I could only find a half dozen on Spirit leaders and mascots.
