My guess is that Maggard probably offered Bob a chance to resign/retire at the end of the year...Bob (And his wife was probably on cell listening) probably blew up and left Maggard no choice.

Its prolly best not to hire anyone from the Marlin Era. I also like the coach from Furman, Bob Richey.

While a change was necessary for the program, Marlin the man is a good guy. I wish him the best.

From a nation wide coaching search standpoint, I think this midseason awareness will generate the most interest.

Exactly. Even though it could be projected the Cajuns will be out the SBC tournament quickly in March, Maggard will get an early start with the search process and be ready with the right hire.
