That's really good news and the kind of stuff that will help keep us competitive and hopefully keep a fanbase. Getting new folks on board!

Not here, but most of the top 50 programs do use it for recruiting.

I thought I heard Jay say on the air a bit back that Coaches Dez, Deggs and Habetz all have the same philosophy in that regard. Use any NIL dollars available to retain, rather than recruit.

Remember 25% of rostered FBS players in portal. Pride comes into play. Most are NOT going to a higher level, so expect lateral moves as a face saving move.

We, and IMO, justly feel our football program is on a higher level than Ark St.

These players really need to understand what they are doing. I know the coaches try to explain to the players the pros and cons of the portal. But alas, that PRIDE thing does come into play. I'll even say, most of the players in the portal are done with football. With the roster limits coming into play, there is more supply than demand.
