Louisiana adds Lamar to 2026 football schedule

Let's compare to Tulane's future schedules. While Tulane did play SE LA this season, there are no FCS teams on their schedule in 2025, 26, 27, 28.

We should only play FCS sparingly as a last resort. Sure its a good tune up game but we need more SOS and ticket buyers deserve a better schedule to get more value for our hard earned money. Also, why not propose and work in a four game contract with latech beyond the two already scheduled future games in 2026 & 2029? If both sides are making money off the deal, then keep playing. Same with Tulane, let's propose inking another deal with them beyond 2027. It just seems unserious when we're intentionally adding more Southland or MAC schools to our future schedules.

Just a thought.... maybe because Tech and Tulane don't want to enter into four game contracts.

So lets agree to a ____ty deal to get a team to play down here and HOPE the community shows up..no i dont oppose play bigger schools at home, but sometimes money gets in the way. I dont care who we play lets just line up and beat them.

At least the admin learned the lesson from this horrific game time and had enough medics on site for the Tulane game this year.

Now it all makes sense.

By creating an in stadium drought, they guaranteed the medics would have something to do.
