Napier left us Des and in the long run that’s all we needed. Jokes on you Billy.

And yes you can not pull for Billy or dislike Billy. I have a lot of ex girlfriends and am still friends with some of them today. But Billy would be that first true love girlfriend you had, then she cheats on you with your best friend and takes all your favorite CD’s haha…. And no jeweler, this is not a real life experience of mine. Though I have been cheated on before.

Neither are good offensive coaches. Neither are bad offensive coaches either.

He was ALSO a fantastic coach, clearly our best ever. Amazingly both things can be true at the same time.
2 games with missed FGs. At south alabama and at Monroe. I was there for both. That was all luck and how we won the West after the Monroe win.

Billy Napier may have been the luckiest coach in the entire history of coaching and his luck propelled him into winning the Florida sweepstakes coaching salary lottery . . . and we are seeing today that his success was more luck of bing at the right place at the right time than actual coaching skill on his part . . .

Sorry bud he doesn't have confidence in anyone but himself or he would do the head coach thing strickly. Status Quo is where he is confidnt.

I think he is a good coach but he also had really good people around him and 2 of them are still here. Mike and Tim have been a huge part of building this program. Napier Also benefited From having a really experienced team have an extra year of eligibility. It would have been interesting to see if we played coastal and won the championship how many of those guys would have came back or moved on. I think the unfinished business brought a lot of them back for that extra year.

Wait, then why post that he did not have confidence in Des when you know that was not the case . . . You know that was never even remotely considered my Napier so why say it here . . ,

    Its Napiers MO.

Still he didn't trust Desormeaux enough to do the job traditionally assigned to the position. But he then turns around and says he is his choice to do it all.

    Can't trust that disconnect

It taking three years to right the ship shows Napier was both wrong and right.

Wrong at the time, but right now.
