This was the kickoff returned for a touchdown.
Oh wow. His knee was absolutely down. https://t.co/UHITVrnkaE pic.twitter.com/iD0Cfy9QP6

…..so much excitement with the remaining part of the play that it wiped the catch and knee simultaneously happening…..also the times-pic gave the OL’s take away from our DL’s pass tip……the recap brings more frustration and at the same time more hope to the remaining schedule!!!
I’ve looked at this a few times. His knee may have cleared the ground. There is an ever so small line of green there. This game was ours for the taking though.
A week latter and this thread has still not watered down . . .
That's not the right call before conference play even starts, IMO. Also, I agree, that's a move that could pay benefits (no doubt) next season, but what about the guys on the team in their last year who want to go bowling? Trust me, going to a bowl game, even another NOLA bowl would be a nice finish to any player's college football career. I know Des will lean in that direction rather than given the true freshman experience this season.
I'm not disagreeing with you as I'd love to see what he can do now, but HC needs to consider the whole team this season. If we lose a couple of conference games early and look to be out of the race to win the west, then he should go with Beale. But even then, Des is so loyal to the guys that have been with him, not sure what he would do.
But, there's absolutely no reason to redshirt any player, anymore.
I agree, refs were decent. May missed the FM call, but that happens a lot.
If we played them again, I'm not putting any money on the game. Overall, they have better talent, especially in the trenches. They have been out recruiting us since CBN left and they were doing at least as well as us ever since Willie Fritz was their coach. The guy that game to them from Georgia southern, not the coach at UH.
