I'm looking forward to it. I've covered Lady Cajun softball before, but this is my first year of covering it on a daily basis.
#5 UL's trip to the Women's College World Series and historic win over No. 1 seed and then-unbeaten Florida last season has Ragin' Cajun softball fans itching for an encore.
The parts seem to be in place for another exciting run as the No. 6-ranked Lady Cajuns return all three starting pitchers and seven position players from last year's 52-15 squad.
Those parts will be on display at 4:30 p.m. today at Lamson Park as the Lady Cajuns open the 2009 season with a three-game series against Ole Miss.

Any predictions on today's score? I'm going for the good ole shutout, say 4-0, compliments of ______ (insert one of three dominating pitchers here) and the Ragin' Cajuns squad. Does Ole Miss even have a pictcher, maybe we can loan them one. Man, I love to s. talk!...is it 4:30 yet? I can taste those peanuts now!
I would trade our softball success for one extra win a year in football. I'm not joking.
Dont even try it. This is not a serious sport. UL is laughed at because we have to hang our hat on softball.
Too many other important things going on.
1 our recruiting class sucked
2 the coaching staff sucks
3 our basketball team sucks
4 coach Lee sucks
5 No RCAF
6 Said in a whiny sssd tone, "THEY DIDNT CALL US UL, THEY CALLED US ULL"
7 Our band sucks.
Softball being #5 in the NATION....in an actual NCAA sanctioned sport??? Thats cr.ap man....not even worthy of being talked about....
