We beat them by 32 in 2018, Napier's first season, having inherited a team with a starting QB not on the level of what our top 2 guys are, and just coming off a scholarship limit probation.

BW didn’t come back from injury until fall camp, so why if neck and neck AND if it were a true competition, then why go that route when CF was QB1 through spring and summer prior to fall?

Good points but there is also the theory many ascribe to, that you do not lose your job to injury and Wooldridge started last season before getting hurt.

No saying it is right, just saying that line of reasoning has infuenced decisions for decades.
