That was the Hud years. I could literally count the fans in attendance back in ‘00.

Who does not know that Hud was HC in 2011-2012.

Jerry Baldwin was HC from 1999-2001.

The progression of students attending Football at The University of Louisiana went from a very small # during the Baldwin tenure to a very much improved # through the Bustle years to its' end to unbelievable #'s through Hud tenure, plans for a 60,000 person stadium then what happened?

There was a time when the student section wasn't just "students." Students could purchase multiple escort tickets. I remember it because when I was a student, I used escort tickets to bring my younger brother to games and other students brought friends and family. That culture went away when they limited it to one escort ticket. Then a decision was made to move the student section for no explainable reason. All this to say, decisions have been made that have pushed students out of Cajun Field.

Greetingsit's been a while.
I knew this would reach this board and before it gets blown out of proportion.

This year, in addition to regular student tailgating on the practice field (which remains free), there were also 80 reserved tailgating spots available for purchase. Emails were sent out to students and campus organizations. Several Greek organizations took advantage of the opportunity. Evidently some didn't bother to read their email (if they tell you they didn't get one, be very suspicious.) The spots sold out in 90 minutes.

Now, some are going to X, insta, etc., complaining they're being excluded. Nope. No one was excluded.

In the past, student tailgating was handled by campus. This year, it's being handled by athletics. And, the general student tailgating will be more enhanced than ever before. It
probably won't please everyone (nothing ever does).

But it's going to be a lot better than it was. Beware those who act butt hurt. My guess it's their own fault.
