Nathan Nelson has to be on any all-time Cajun baseball team. The best team this program has produced was led by this guy. And dude was a hitting machine.

    In that order
Nate Nelson and Jace Conrad would be the next 2 if we are expanding past the 4 that Mt. Rushmore has.

And there are SO many others guys that an argument could be made for. BJ Ryan would be one, and guys like Corey Coles. Coles was one of the best pitchers on the team (3.33 ERA over 3 years and 102 innings) and also had seasons of .368, 6 HRs, 45 RBIs and 24 SBs one year and .371, 9 HRs and scored 56 runs the next. He just played in a group of years that the team wasn’t as memorable as some of these others (2001-2003)

Bako would likely be in the mix for a “Former Cajuns Mt. Rushmore”
