Ready to go
So, 3 game lead with 5 to go. USM and Troy are tied for second. We have the tiebreaker over USM. Troy has it over us.
What do we need to clinch this thing? (Aside from just keep winning?)
Should be 3 magic number with Troy (Louisiana wins plus Troy losses)
Should be 2 magic number with SM (Louisiana wins plus SM losses)
You guys can't be serious with this idea that our "plan" was to start Blake Marshall, then when he unsurprisingly implodes, get your best pitcher up on two minutes of warmup and run him out there for 100 pitches
That's just dumb, and very reckless with one of the guys who will actually have a baseball career
Seriously, would you be on this high horse had Langevin started the game, went 5 1/3 and threw 97 pitches?
He was in the pen long enough to get ready and HE KNEW he would be coming into the game as soon as needed. This is a very weird hill to die on.
Last night it was too many pitches (wrong). Then it changed to he normally throws only 20-30 (wrong again) and now he was rushed into the game (you’re on quite the streak!)
He probably would have started, but if you listen to what Coach Deggs says, he wanted LP to follow a lefty. Marshall went thru the order one time, giving every batter a look at a LHP and then Langevin came in. The man said what the “plan” was and did exactly that.
