Some of the projects will be announced Feb. 4th a few will be coming later awaiting some final details, but be assured things are going in the right direction and somewhat fast. _
Do us all a favor and tell your guys that they need to come out with everything at the Bash. I understand that some things are ready to be announced and some things might still need some details. But, it would be nice if they would unveil the stuff that is ready, and also come out and say, by the way, we don't have pictures or plans set in stone, but we're also looking into X and Y and maybe Z, and those projects are currently in design and planning stage. At least it would be a more up front approach and not make it sound like they're trying to be secretive. And not to mention, it would help show the magnitude of what they are trying to do.

It may only be just me who thinks this, but if I'm trying to get a private funding organization off the ground, especially in this economic climate, I'm going to give everyone as much information as possible and hype it up as much as possible, and not just release some info and say that the rest is coming later. The reason being is that many people are going to give once a year, whether that be in a lump sum or by setting up a monthly donation. So, if you only tell them about everything right now and create as much hype about it as possible, then that donation is more likely to be larger than if you only tell them a little bit. And, if you have other stuff planned, and wait six months to announce it, when most have already made their annual donations, then you miss out on the effect that those projects could have on the foundation.

Not to mention, being open and transparent with the public is not something you could charge UL with. So, throwing all the cards down at once will help to create the perception that something has changed and things are going to be different around here. Again, I think many people would rather know that they're planning to build a new baseball stadium (just an example) but that it's only in design stages, rather than to have to read about rumors and beg for information.

Josh Johns, please sign with UL...

Since I'm sure he wanted to play for LSU, we could at least guarantee him that he'd get to play in Tiger Stadium this year!

Over the decades I have come to the never wrong conclusion to believe what I see half the times, and what is told to me 1% of the time. Yea, I gotta give them at least a 1% chance of doing what they say they plan to do. We did get a IDPF that included basketball however late it was.

I heard from an unreliable source that the unconfirmed large announcement will be Bustle getting a lifetime contract from the school.

    Congrats Ricky!

For RCAF to be successful it needs to be completely unhinged from the UL Foundation. Completely separate or it will be useless.

That makes no sense to me, please explain.

If RCAF is part of the UL Foundation it will be just like it was under Dr. Authement, another bank account with no focus.

Sounds like a weak excuse not to donate to me. Honestly I don't care if it's part of the foundation or not as long as if serves it's purpose.
I have made several very pointed donations thru the foundation to specific sports. EVERY SINGE ONE of them went where I requested. If it works that way I will be happy with it.
