    Keep trying.

You opened up your ill attempted dig with "first bowl" [WRONG] [DOUBLE WRONG] then tried to distinguish your wrongness.

Your removing every bowl appearance for every school prior to your artificial fake standard is not a "winning" view.

    Pick another topic.

Can't even compare. In 2011, most of us fans had never seen the cajuns in a bowl game...EVER. Now, even Jacksonville State is making it and that's who we play. The inability to process the difference in the situation and lump it all together is funny.

But what did any of this distraction have to do with who was QB

    Apples to Oranges

2011- First bowl appearance in over 40 years

Today- Been to 10 bowl games since 2011 and now 82 teams (12 more than 2011) including 5-7 teams are getting in. Even the two transitional teams who weren't allowed to compete for their conference title got in because there weren't enough bowl eligible teams.

    Big difference.

No. It was from a bowl projection.

People are apathetic. For the everyday fan, which we have very little of, the game is 100% meaningless. So it depends on the POV you're speaking from. Is it meaningless to the players? NO, but that's for selfish reasons. They get gifts, a chance to showcase themselves for NIL deals, more playing time in the transfer portal or increased roll on the current squad. For the coaches? NO, but that's for developmental reasons. They get a minimum of 15 more practices to evaluate and teach. For family members of players and coaches? NO, but that's because they just love to watch their kin play ball. For the administrators? NO, because it allows our brand to be on Nat'l TV one additional time, it provides revenue and the conference. And of course, if you've ever traveled with the "traveling party," they love to enjoy themselves on trips.

So there is a select group of people that benefit, locally, from a bowl game. To the fans that fill the seats, want to compete at the highest level of FBS, pay the bills, drag this program to the door step of success year in and year out? It's largely meaningless. It's a participation trophy event. It's an "accomplishment" manufactured out of thin air for MH to say "look, this program is winning." It's a celebration of mediocrity on a national stage. It's Bob Marlin's MBB. It's Jay Walker defending Ricky Bustle for being "bowl eligible" for 3 straight years, even though we never got invited to ____ING bowl game under Bustle, even the damn NOLA bowl that was played in our own ____ing stadium. It's something that Deggs and Glasco would scoff at. It's underachievement being swept under the rug because we got to take a trip at the end of the season.

It isn't idiotic. It's reality and some of you need a GIANT dose of it. We are withering away on the vine, during what should be the most exciting time in Cajuns Football History.

Your poorly researched articles, gloss over the fact that those, bowls, were rarer and harder to attain than the non New Years bowls, of today are.

Still a "Bowl Game" (term you launched with)

Why don't you gloss over the 1944 New Years Day bowl game while you are at it.

You know, the 43 season both LSU and Notre Dame chickened out of playing Louisiana.
