Great thread to discuss how to unify the fan base! It seems some on here would rather support athletics or academics and administration/coaches/players or fans, but they are not mutually exclusive. It’s a cognitive error to hold onto dichotomous thinking.

UL can achieve success in all aspects, but Cajun Nation must remain united.
If we criticize each other, you are against the greater good for our university. We must all work together to pull the rope in the same direction. We may not always agree, but we are family and family sticks together despite outside enemies/opponents. Geaux Cajuns!

I own 4 Louisiana shirts, a Louisiana visor and a Louisiana cap and have 4 baseball season tickets . . . As a lifelong Lafayette resident who doesn't claim to be a huge UL fan (but who also isn't an LSU fan), I simply don't understand why being an "unapologetic Louisiana fan" requires that you agree with everything a school does. Fans can be passionate, optimistic, and critical at the same time.

The tone of a team (or message board) is set by the loudest voice (or in the case of a message board, those with the most posts).

If anyone disagrees with that, check their post count.

C80, I do agree. Criticism and debate is warranted here. But it seems that it's to the point of a divided fanbase.

Because some think the University is beyond reproach. It's the status quo crowd. People pay money to support a product. Those in charge should be held accountable. In so many ways we still, very much USL it. Just because we're "better than we used to be" doesn't mean we are where we should/could be.
