Thread: Julian Brock Drafted by the Texas Rangers

  1. Default Re: Julian Brock Drafted by the Texas Rangers

JB was kind of a steal as far as the draft goes for the Rangers. He was slotted as the #122 ranked prospect in the draft and was taken at the #231 pick, 109 spots behind his ranking. Good luck to Julian and Carson.

Today it gets fun/interesting for the Cajuns, obviously we would all like to see Heath Hood and Cooper Rawls and others get drafted as they are Seniors, so there is no chance of them coming back, but the question will be around guys like Fluno, Nezuh and Etheridge and some of the incoming freshman. Nezuh is the real interesting one as he might go early today, I hope he doesn't as we could have a real nice starting rotation next year if he and Fluno and some of the incoming pitchers make it to campus as well as a healthy McGehee.

I surely thought a good hitting catcher was worth more. The Rangers are getting a steal here and surely Vivian and the Brock crew will be headed to Rangers games just like they came to Cajuns games when he makes it up . . . Good luck to you Julian . . .

It will be a little while before he makes it to the majors, if he does at all. It is very hard to make it and usually it is not with the team that drafts you. For now, they will have to watch him play in the Arizona Complex League, Kinston, NC and/or Hickory, NC. before getting to Frisco, Tx and possibly Round Rock, Tx.

I have been, wondering what he was up to.

Quite a Minor League career he built for himself.
