Since the post season FBS rules were modified to slot the top ranked G5 in a NY6 bowl, several G5 teams have beaten P5 teams. When Louisiana or any other G5 makes the 12 team CFB Playoff, there's a decent chance of winning the first game.
It's time consuming, but we need our head coaches to barn storm the region in person and on media to rally more fan support/ticket sales. Consumers like being asked for their business. Put that in every coaches contract= more community outreach. Can't keep doing things the same ole way and expect improved ticket sales results.
As for Coach Marlin, last year was put up or shut up time. He and his team got it done and we cheered them on. However, based upon history, there's no illusion Coach Marlin is building a top flight program capable of more frequent NCAA tourneys and even making March magic sweet 16 NCAA run. If this were the case Coach would have been poached from us years ago. So we have the program and basketball fanbase we have today.
