Seriously, I hope he returns. I guess I am prepared for it either way, but it would change a lot of perceptions about next year's team if he returns. One player cannot do it all, but I think the supporting cast will be in place for a good year if he returns.
I have mixed feelings about it. Obviously for selfish reasons, I would like to see him return. On the other hand, finding an athlete a large NIL deal to remain, potentially six figures would be a precedent that will be hard to replicate in the future for any other special athlete in this athletic program.
My understanding is that if Jordan plays college basketball, it will be here, not at another university.
We have to go to McNeese again (they came here 2 straight years), LA Tech, and a MAC team. I am sure we will have at least two money road games on the schedule. Would not be suprised if one of those is LSU as Coach Marlin and Coach McMahon get along fine. That is just a guess. I know nothing definite about that. I think they are trying to get into one of those MTE tournaments as well. Regarding the road schedule, McNeese may be the best team in Louisiana next year with the roster Will Wade is putting together in Lake Charles. As far as I know the only definite non conference home game set is against a MAC team. I know we have to have a definite no. of D1 home games and I think that no. is 13. 9 conference games and the MAC game means we need three other non conference D1 home games if my guess is correct. We probably are looking to buy 2 and hopefully get someone to agree to a home and home. I don't have any updates on Jordan Brown other than what MelRock stated in the previous post.
