DP to end the game. 2/3 and 3/4 for the week.
We probably deserve worse because we played like @ss for the most part.
All in all, going 3-1 for the week when you played not so great. Maybe we can build on it.
Gotta figure out how to pitch.
I think we have had some good arms but since Deggs arrival we haven’t had a decent pitching coach.
I don’t think Seth is the answer. I get we were spoiled with Tony all those years being able to get the most of his pitchers but we have gone the complete opposite way. Little to no coaching up these guys. Maybe I’m not giving Seth enough of a chance but I feel like there is little to no progression with the pitching staff.
I’m not gonna rant and rave about a series win and 3-1 week, but I think everyone here knows we need to get a whole lot better to compete in our league.
A lot of people here are completely discounting the fact that High Point, as a team, can swing the bat. The pitchers did a very nice job today. And pretty darn well the entire weekend.
They’re nowhere close to as bad as many seem to think. Picked to finish 3rd in their conference and are 6-9. 5 of those losses are two here this weekend and 3 at Alabama.
I’d venture to guess that the series win this weekend will be a positive when it’s all said and done, regardless of what their RPI is less than 1/4 of the way through this season.
I'm not close to pressing the panic button on Coach Thib; I like the arms we got. With the bats we have, our pitching averages are enough to keep us in most of the games. I think we'll see more consistency in run output as Deggs zeroes in on the lineup going into conference play.
10-5 so far, multiple guys batting above 300. We're hitting on all cylinders compared some of the most recent starts of the season. I'm a believer.
