An understudy in how to go out of business.

Send all your money to the next town over, and expect a return...

Going to the UL tab on their web version, there’s not even a story about Cajuns basketball. Men or women.

Thank goodness for Foote and the baton rouge paper for covering us. Can’t believe I’m typing that.

What a joke of a local paper. LSU everywhere and not a single article on UL basketball.

I know several have written to them and gotten the same pass the buck answer. So that seems like a dead end.

Aside from just not subscribing, what other recourse does a community have to get their local paper to cover local sports news?

I used to like getting the advertiser. I have a ton of papers saved from big UL wins. It’s been some time since I’ve added a new one to the stack.

Went to the first games held in the TAC at El Aye Tech. First game, packed house, Cheryl Miller and USC v Lady Necksters. SRO.

Place empty down to about 1,500, Cajuns christened their new building with a win.

Are we sure its stupidity? Most say Washington Post lost a heck of a lot of money too, but also got owner a huge tax writeoff.

Pull their media credentials. And be done with it.

This is why we can’t ever have anything nice . . .

I subscribed to the Advertiser from 1995 to 2019. When I called to cancel they kept trying to offer me a cheaper package to keep them in some form. Finally I cut the person off and said you don’t understand I am not giving you people another freaking dime of my money.

My cancelation was 2 fold their extreme left wing political coverage along with their lack of Cajuns coverage.

No one should ever confuse the Advertiser today with a LOCAL paper.
