Still more worried about Vic than the Cajuns. Nothing has changed.

Or the university could just buy the space. The return on investment would be large.

Yes they could. I just know that many of these companies and stations tend to brag or advertise that they "invest" in the community. This could be another way for them to "Invest"!

Either we are not willing to spend much on advertisements or we do not have the money to do so.

Duggie makes a very good observation which could result in much more bang than the buck on our end and donation of in kind on the other end.

As it is highly likely that they do not have 100% utilization, to the extent that the advertisers are filling that void with empty space, it's a win, win situation.

So, did that conduct impress you or is this just an opportunity to post about Vic.

They asked for feedback. Is only feedback they want to hear welcome or all feedback?

What you're talking about is "Trade" in industry lingo. I know this has been done in the past, but things have changed in the broadcast world where trade, without some $$ attatched to it my the person requesting the trade is frowned apon. Most advertising businesses now have a trade budget, some count it as revenue, some count it as an expense. The airtime or ad space or digital impressions are traded for a like value in goods or services. Many times "larger" trades are approved at the corporate or regional level. Normally its one to one, although that is not always true. Value of what's being traded has to mean something to the advertising organization. What value is there in trading for thousands of dollars in tickets when, as has been noted on this site before, you can't give those things away (talking mostly football and basketball). UL has dug a huge hole for itself without spending the necessary marketing funds and creating inititives that attract folks to games. There is just a whole lot of not caring going on, and that, as past history has shown, is UL's fault especially when it comes to FB and MBB. This is where asking for "free" gets you...at the back of the marketing bus...

For a first trial run, it was a lot of fun.
I liked the ability to chat on almost every platform, I like the intro and music choice. The only thing I didn’t like was that when you played the Outro song, it sounded like it was being played on somebody’s phone in the background and was not very clear. A very minor issue but it was kinda annoying (especially since I like that song lol). Also I’d say be on the lookout for technical issues, so that people don’t have to wait as long to watch the stream on their preferred platform. Just some suggestions.
