There was nothing questionable about the strike call or the homer! Both were no doubters, but on opposite sides of the spectrum. She didn't come close to going around on the strike.

The UL Softball team played Troy for the final game of their weekend series. Going into the game the Cajuns had already won the series. So against Troy, they were looking to get the sweep. The Cajuns in fact did get the sweep and won 10-0!

The base umpire was between 1st and 2nd. No way did he have a good look. The umpire blew that call. I was right behind home plate and Jordan didn't come close to breaking her wrist.

A swing is an attempt at a pitch, that is not a bunt. That includes what is referred to as a “checked swing” or “half swing.” It is up to the judgment of the umpire(s) if the batter attempted at a pitched ball. Contrary to popular belief, a batter does not have to “break his/her wrist” in order to attempt at a pitch.
