Yup that is what sucks so if the portal is like this we should make players sign contracts. This year was the year college football officially died…. To rein this in there needs to be salary cap, one year sit out if you transfer and contracts for how long your a holly is valid…. If you signed a 2 year scholly you can transfer after 2 years with no sit out period. Just ways to tame this insanity has to be met…. Our offense has been gutted. This is a big rebuild job…. If we win 8 games next year we will be lucky…the fun ended just as soon as it started.
Can this end already
That S.O.B better never show his ugly face here again.Originally Posted by ultracajun;[URL="tel:1333360"
That's a great way to put it. I was elated at Christmas, but we have not even played a down in 2022 and I'm actually finding myself already depressed with college football. Not only for our losses or the prospects of our program, but with the whole sport. Anyone can see that this is a scary time in college athletics.
Well I guess that means we are returning to normal (6 to 8 win seasons and everything being a struggle). It was fun while it lasted and I am glad I got to experience it once before I died. I guess NIL is another way of saying "know your place".
He would have brought a few athletes with him, but unless he was writing his own personal checks to give NIL to these athletes, it wasn't going to keep programs with more money from pillaging your best talent. The previous staff hit on some kids and that is what we are seeing other programs take notice. They watch the film and other games as well. Any kids we hit on that ball out will be gone after two seasons at best.
