    waiving it is a little strong . . .

Yes the fair catch was clear and Golic was so upset he called us ULM right after the replay. It was a cheap shot, embarrassing that Wilson was wearing the chains on the sideline and in the postgame even if that was what flipped the momentum.

Overall, the refs were horrible ( I don't know which division they were from) and seeing how chippy the game got, I say that we are going to have another team in the conference that plays dirty ball in the trenches
After watching the replay a few times (it wasn’t obvious in real time), I think the problem was that the Marshall returner caught the ball while moving quickly to his right. There may have been some defensive instincts that kicked in there, just because it wasn’t the typical stationary fair catch.

There’s a replay angle from the opposite side of the field, showing him pulling up about 5 yards short and then going in for the hit. Something made him do that. I don’t think he just set out on the play to illegally clean the returner’s clock.

Doesn’t make it right, that’s just probably what happened.

Their guy definitely raised his arm.

    Swinging windmill fashion.

Jayrin Wilson absolutely did not see him do that, which is inexcusable in itself.

The 'bobbley' recovery duck is what caused both heads to hit.

I’m sure they showed it over and over again on tv, but I was at the game and it was right in front of us. I never saw the fair catch called. I’m sure our guy didn’t either. He thought he made a great play.

I think that is why I was most upset. It looked dirty (not saying it was), but at the time it appeared that way and the player was down on the ground at the time. Their was no reason for celebration especially when he saw the flag and they were discussing targeting. Regardless of the targeting, no matter what it would have been a "HALO" penalty, the targeting just made it look much worse.

Now all that being said, I would have thought that the momentum would have gone 100% to Marshall after that play, but our guys got pumped up. Not saying that this was something to do to switch momentum, because it was a questionable play, even if he did not see the FC motion. The fact that it would have been a penalty no matter what was the reason he should not have been celebrating.

You find me a 19 year old football player that would not be tickle pink after that hit and I will show you one I don’t want on my football team . . . It’s football got ______ . . .

It was quick fair catch call. He only waived once and it was as he was starting to run under the ball. Our guy didn't see it and hit him. Players were mad at first but got over it. Coaches got over it. Fans still complaining look like idiots.

Oh I am not questioning him being pumped up. I am questioning the fact that once he found out that he was penalized (not even the targeting), he should have taken the chain off, then when it was told to him that it was possibly targeting, he should have taken the chain off, then when he found out that the player was still on the ground and possibly hurt badly, he should have taken the chain off. Then when he was walking around smiling and all of that was going on, he should have been the first player out their to apologize to Marshall for his mistake.

I get the initial celebration, I didn't understand the continued celebration after he was penalized for 2 clear mistakes.
