Guys look. This is my first football game since ULM 2019. Football tickets aren’t $10 no more. That is frivolous spending in our house. I either need to have a good reason for spending that much or better have had a good month in the bank. I haven’t recovered financially since the O&G went bust in 2015. Don’t forget that last year, oil actually fell out of market on the last contract day of the month and many people were in deep since then. We look to medical and tech to start fattening Lafayette, but the cost of living (not just at the pump, but groceries) are eating the “extra” money that we all used to have at the end of the bill paying cycle.
Want there all kinds of outreach to Acadians by the athletics department? My FB page is lit up with outreach from Ragin Cajun athletics.
For a town the size of Lafayette they should be able to plop 30k into that stadium six times a year. Many-a much smaller college towns accomplish way more with way ____tier teams.
Our opponents for the most part have not created much excitement and that is a huge factor. Hard to get excited for ULM. Just the way it is. Doesn’t help that most of our home games were midweek. But at the end of the day there are no excuses when you win like this team has. They deserve way better fan support.
Next week we will have a great crowd. It will be the place to be for the SBC Championship. I hope!
So what was the announced attendance!?
The fans. Both hard core and casual need a culture change. Doing it the old way isn't getting it done, yet there are tradition building assets available...you just have to ask why not...
Sorry I'm not on Facebook, and while I probably miss a lot, I don't miss the tangent distractions that Facebook used to throw at me.
I don't think Facebook is effective, because even with all the supposed Faceboom Acadiana outreach, it didn't resonate with you be use you put it all on Lafayette.
Or Billy Napier just calls crappy games...He is not a good offensive corridinator. He kind of sucks at it. He just needs to look in the mirror.
Lies.
