    Loved hearing Brad Boyd.

He could definitely bring some Yang to Marlin's Yen.

I LOVED his idea of schedule the best.

Brad Boyd did an excellent interview! He said it several times that he is relatable and I believe he would bring fans back to the Cajundome. He has relationships and vision for winning.

I like Brad. Always have. But, in addition to him having no college coaching experience (which I believe immediately disqualifies him) he didn't help his cause by both he and his wife publicly bashing Marlin on social media a few years ago.

Also, I would expect Coach Marlin to extend the offer to a minority candidate, since he lost a minority coach.

Jay, I agree about Brad's past decisions to make his feelings known as it showed his immaturity for sure and didn't do him any favors, however, should you really need college experience to get an assistant job? Isn't that, in fact, how many coaches get experience by being hired as an assistant? Even if its support staff? We have people on staff that weren't coaches before. There are many programs that hire ex players to be assistants right off the bat. UNC just hired a guy who has never been a head coach. Ever. And they could have hired close to anybody they would have gone after.

Marlin should do some soul searching on his own staff. Hardin has been with him since day 1 and what does he bring to our program? He doesn't recruit and our gameplans have been lacking the past couple of years. We lose out on Crow who was a good recruiter. Morris is left doing the heavy lifting.

Wow Jay!!! I coached for 2 years with Robert Lee. Plenty of road trip stories of me you and the coaching staff during the 2005-2006 and 2006-2007 seasons, should I share those or no? I was not titled as an asst, but best believe my input was being used on a daily basis. I was at all the practices and worked with the players and coaching staff. How did I Publicly bash Marlin a few years ago? I can’t wait to see you in person and discuss this further. Let’s keep my wife out of this, or I can share the stories of your activities on those road trips.

So what College did Josh C coach at before Marlin hired him? How did he get hired on with no college coaching experience?

Brad, great interview on the podcast. Would love to see you get a shot on staff, I think you can relate to these young kids and get the most out of them.
