The conference said Saturday games could not start after 4pm. We are in San Marcos. With a 4pm game by the time the kids shower, etc. you leave at 7 and get home around 1:30.
If you're playing at 7, you don't leave until 10 and get home at 4:30.
Although teams that bus would come home on Saturday after the game regardless, you're giving them more rest after playing two straight days.
And, I'm telling you....if you're getting home at 4:30 or 5, your Sunday is shot, no matter what age you are.
In the post game interview after the Saturday A-State game Coach Marlin talked about Au leaving the game with his knee bothering him, that it had locked up on him and he (Coach Marlin) was unsure of his playing status.
I did not see the injury so was really concerned after hearing this and I haven't heard anything since.
This may have already been stated, but who is going to assume the responsibilities of Coach Marlin on the court today and tomorrow. I know Coach Murphy stated that they were going to split the responsibilities throughout the week, but someone has to be the guy who actually assumes the duties of the HC on the court.
Brock Morris is the one with HC experience, but Neil Harden has been with Marlin the longest. The other option is Coach Murphy who has coached as a HC at the college level with women's basketball.
It will be interesting to see what it looks like on the court and who is the main voice of the team.
