If there are more disappointing losses in Cajuns' athletic history, the list isn't long.

They almost doubled us up on TOP. One possession was for 16 plays and they barely averaged over 4 yards a play. And I think the converted on 3 third downs AND a fourth down.

Nobody made a play.

Our "three-headed-monster" had 24 carries (for 150 yards, mind you); Levi threw the ball 24 times. BTW, they ran the ball 48 times.

Levi's pass was a little behind the receiver, but it was catchable. But it was behind the receiver. But it should have been caught.

We called the right play. But somebody missed a block, Levi rushed his throw; it was a little low but it should have been caught. But it was a little low. But it should have been caught.

Third and inches and we rush a play, only to have a lineman jump.

This was our chance. And during the week, it was said if anybody could keep a team focused, it was Napier.

Too many missed passes, dropped passes, missed blocks, missed tackles, missed interceptions, etc., say otherwise.

Hell, the play announcer guy doesn't even know what a "three-and-out" is.

Well put. And, yes, Coastal went 60 yards down the field and we finally stopped them on 3rd down. He called it a "three and out"!

We lost to a triple option running team full of midgets and freshman. This was not a great game. It was Billy Napier getting thoroughly whipped. The score was the only thing close about it. A team we beat by 30...last year. No excuses for giving up 30 to these schlubs. No excuses for only putting up 27 on these schlubs. The only reason it was close...was because talent wise...Coastal is on par with most FCS teams. That makes this game much, much worse. Currently...Napier has this team completely ____ed up.

We have a running quarterback...who is being told he’s the second coming of Patrick Mahomes. We can’t get any identity as a power running team...because of that stupidity. Passing for Levi should be only used when the defense cannot take the pounding from our running game anymore...or desperation. Throwing on first down should be a paddlin.

Defensively...we just aren’t well coached. We miss assignments...play soft...and can’t tackle for ____. It’s a far cry from the HUD era...but when the offensive has its head firmly up its own ___ trying to be air raid with Jalen Nixon 2.0 at the helm...you are going to need to rely a whole lot more on the defense. You can’t blame COVID for that ____. Everyone was back. You can’t blame a long layoff for that ____...we survived against the ____ty GSU twins as well. Call it like it is Kyle. ____. This was ____. And for the money we pay Napier...losing to triple option midgets is inexcusable.

I understand what you are going through. I really do. I have suffered from it myself many times. It is called "Fansanity". What is fansanity? It is the definition of insanity by a team's fans when they suffer from massive failure to recognize just how good the other guys are. The fact is the Sunbelt conference, which just about everyone on this board has been programmed to believe is the worst college football conference by star chasers, is a much better, more competitive football conference than any other G-5 conference.

And the teams at the top of this conference which UL has been holding the banner for, are the best they have ever ever been. UL has as good of a team & maybe the best team they have ever had. But Coastal, App St. & the Georgia teams are all playing solid football. Sometimes you eat the bear & some times the bear eats you. The national title Cinderella, bump up against the P-5 scenario is over. Now it's time to just sit back & enjoy a really good team fight it out for the conference championship. I enjoyed watching Levi finally take off with the ball & use that extra offense to open up other avenues to make our running game & passing game better. One thing is for sure. We will see if I am right, or wrong next week when UL travels to UAB. I have a feeling this team will bounce back. The question is will the fan base get over this loss & move on to enjoy what is still a great season?

........We are a pretty good football team that didn’t play the game we should that blew opportunities....that being said, Coastal is very good and has a great offensive plan that has great personnel to fit their scheme.......QB is extremely accurate and can run the ball....receivers didn’t drop anything and ran great routes.....we didn’t get enough pressure and scramble by about worked....their RBs are outstanding....and finally the option/veer option/ read option, quick passes off of it present so many problems for the defense.....CC is a top 25 team!

You do realize that no Louisiana opponent has lost a game outside of their loss to Louisiana, and one Louisiana opponent hasn't lost a game period?

You expect that to stay that way? It won't. The issues are the issues...regardless of how hard you choose to ignore them. Same for Zephyr.

Fansanity? You making up words again, Kyle? Coastal is not the giant killer they seem to be. You can prognosticate...incorrectly I might add...that they will be first round picks, like you always do...and they don't. The QB issues are glaring. If you can't see them...you are blind as a bat. We should not be playing catch up to teams like App State, Coastal Carolina, and the GSU twins. These teams are not that good. We...currently are not that good. We haven't played the game we should...FOR THE LAST 3 GAMES. That's not a one off. It's a trend and a systemic issue.
