Prior to that her entire foot had to be out. That is my understanding.
It was the whole foot out of the box, now it is any part out of the box your out. Which makes it harder to hit. Regardless less D1 teams are adding slappers also in part to the defense being so much better. I didn't remember it changing 3 years ago, but I am also getting older. I stand corrected on the time frame but also firm on the current status of slappers slowly dying off. Not saying we will not get a slapper but Glasco prefers sluggers. Glasco converted Talley from a slapper to more of a straight away hitter.

I haven't been here very long, and trust me, will probably not be here much longer, lol.

Nothing should ever get personal on this board. With that being said I don't think its a good place for any players or parents of student-athletes.

is this why Milligan started 56 games in 2019 and Curry started 47? or why Milligan batted 175 times and Curry only 120? Because he prefers sluggers? just curious.

I can only go on what I heard. You say Coach Glasco told you this. I heard an interview following the 2019 season where he was asked how he was going to replace Kelli Milligan, and what he said was that if he didn't have a slapper on the roster that could produce Milligan numbers then he didn't have a problem with having power hitters in the lineup 1-9. Again, I am not saying Coach didn't tell you what you say he told you, as obviously I was not present

He perfers sluggers with a high on base average. Curry is basically swing and miss. Homerun or single when the ball is hit.

John I have no issue with you or anyone on this board. But there is some people that get mad for no reason. And there is nobody on this current thread that I am talking about. I am just saying as a general rule most parents and players shouldn't folow message board unless they have tough skin. There is some brutal stuff on this board at times. I like your feedback so I have no reason to block you.

I am just saying he prefers to go with power hitters 1 thru 9. I doubt he finds a kid who will produce Milligan numbers. If he wanted a slapper he has Talley, but he red shirted her to not slap. I don't want to go back and forth with you on this, but he prefers power hitters versus slappers. That doesn't mean he will never have a slapper but there is a better chance he will not. If my memory serves me right we had zero on the team last year.

You act like you sleep with the coach on this board. Chill out. Other people have opinions and feel like they know a thing or two about Cajun Softball. Can't wait to see your response to this post.
