That is the right attitude to have. However being concerned is understandable. After today, over 5 percent of the season is behind us. Just the game itself will see more balls fall into play as hits as we go along. Still many batters looked overmatched at the plate today so you wonder how much potential there really is. Just as turning it around is a possibility, a second consecutive losing season is also something which could be reasonably expected to occur.

regardless of the top 25 ranking, I knew this wouldn't be a quick rebuild. We were brutal last season, and Robe didn't have the offensive chops to fix what was wrong last year. I expect us to rebound offensively, but it will take a few weeks before it really turns around.

Improvement should be easy to gauge. Get 1 more hit a game and the average nearly doubles
