regardless of the top 25 ranking, I knew this wouldn't be a quick rebuild. We were brutal last season, and Robe didn't have the offensive chops to fix what was wrong last year. I expect us to rebound offensively, but it will take a few weeks before it really turns around.

Improvement should be easy to gauge. Get 1 more hit a game and the average nearly doubles

Im hoping all the ceremony was the main factor for our putrid batting. At this point it cant get any worse.the sooner this weekend is behind us the better.

Cajuns hitting has been putrid for a while. I don’t think this weekend’s emotions had much to do with it. I didn’t and still do not expect Deggs to walk onto the field and turn the hitting around right away. It’ll take a year or so to get his recruits into the program.

Those who hit last year are not hitting this year. The season is early, however that is troubling.
