A coach should only be extended if he is being looked at by other schools or if his/her loss would set back your program. Coach Marlin is neither. If you're not gonna fire him, then UL should let his contract expire, have him move on or renegotiate.

I'm curious what he is recruiting? Class of 2022? He's full right now.

I don't know the details of the recruiting efforts. My guess is that there is a possibility one new recruit comes in the spring meaning someone on team moves on. That is not unusual and happens at almost every school these days. My guess is that bulk of efforts are looking at people they can sign in November. Maybe looking at people beyond that. Recruiting is something that never ends unless a staff knows they are moving on.
