D1 Softball Preseason Ranking

What is our highest ever preseason rank? I personally think #8 is a huge sign of respect for what Coach Glasco has put together this year, especially with the amount of bias towards Power 5 schools usually.

And if we win a majority of the games that we have against the top 25 it will put us in great shape

I sure hope that Brittney Holland gets some playing time and stays healthy, I really feel for this girl. 2 straight years with season ending injuries.

8 is a solid position from which to move up!! Ladies take care of business, particularly OOC, and a steady rise is probable.

Ranking is good, perfect for the beginning of a new season. High enough to feel our program is respected and low enough to desire to be much better. We have a lot of talent in pitching, fielding and hitting, but there is a newness to this fine softball 🥎 machine! It will take a certain amount of time to get this machine to loosen up and fine tuned and playing together. Geaux Cajuns!

If I recall, I believe coach said in the interview that she went something like 3 for 4 in the Monday scrimmage. If she can keep that up she should get opportunities at the plate.

Yes, she was a first team JUCO All American that hit .471 with 15 HR's and 81 RBI's. Not sure what she will give us, but if she is 3/4's of the player she was in JUCO she will be something special.

.353, 11 HR and 60 RBI's. at 3/4 of the results
.310, 10 HR and 54 RBI's. at 2/3 of the results.

Girl was a special player in JUCO, just has had some unfortunate injuries at UL.
