Here's a question for you, what is Fritz making at Tulane? Napier turned down $2M plus to be Saban's OC after his first season here, why would he go coach at Tulane for less money? Memphis has the facilities and the big money behind them, but they were 25-21 before Norvell arrived. It's not just about the money, but actually building something and winning a championship, then returning to the SEC.
Reports out of Arkansas is that it is down to lunney, drinkowitz, and Harsin.... interesting that there are not more on this list.... I believe that shows how bad the Arkansas job is compared to other SEC gigs
Valid point. However, my original post merely said that Tulane would welcome him with open arms if Fritz left. I'm sure that behind closed doors, Coach Napier is thinking about all opportunities and scenarios. Andy why Tulane? Who the hell knows, but it almost happened with Hud and all I was stating was that I hoped history repeated itself.
Hud was looking for more money, he got it playing Tulane. Fritz hasn't won a championship at Tulane; he hasn't made a championship game period. If Fritz can't build a champion at Tulane with his experience, I doubt Napier will look at the job. He has two SEC programs circled on his wish list, one of them is South Carolina in his home state. He wins here in Lafayette, that job could be open next year. Why go to Tulane, Memphis or any other G5 program right now that may require more than one season to get to a championship game? He's not Hudspeth.
