Hud was looking for more money, he got it playing Tulane. Fritz hasn't won a championship at Tulane; he hasn't made a championship game period. If Fritz can't build a champion at Tulane with his experience, I doubt Napier will look at the job. He has two SEC programs circled on his wish list, one of them is South Carolina in his home state. He wins here in Lafayette, that job could be open next year. Why go to Tulane, Memphis or any other G5 program right now that may require more than one season to get to a championship game? He's not Hudspeth.
Never said he was. Said I was hoping. Who knows what will happen. What I will say that I think it's great Napier has done great things at UL and he is being considered for other opportunities. Because just like Tulane, UL is a stepping stone. Both schools should want coaches who will come in, win and leave. It makes them more attractive.
Geez, you think? The difference is that he is already building something here, and he hasn't completed his goals. Winning a championship. We can get him close to what Tulane has to offer, so that takes care of the money for another season or two. That's my point. Thanks
