I love seeing the gators, its one of the things that make the campus unique

You are not alone, a friend of mine from Ohio that used to live here has Cypress Swamp on his must see list everytime he visits.

Just came across an old (2017) KLFY story that I missed, about the completion of the Cypress Lake Plaza....and what the next phase will be. Highlights of Phase 2 will be to add a walkway from the Plaza pretty far into the lake, and also to expand the lake to Hebrard Blvd....bascially make the areas where the old eyesore building were part of the lake. Here is a rendering of what that will look like:

They are putting the finishing touches on Cypress Lake Plaza: adding the pergolas, new railing and best of all, the pier. All very neat.....I'm very impressed (and proud) that we are actually building what's in the master plan, and what was promised.

While I'll always be a proud Ragin Cajun, I just kinda wish they had all this stuff and the campus looked this fantastic when I was there, lol.

Since it’s never gonna be on the open market, it’s intrinsic value isn’t easily established. Can it be used as collateral? Well only if you can repossess and be used for commercial value. So ten million seems a little arbitrary.

I’m afraid I always take Turbine very literally. Now how valuable is that campus? We could sell it for a very high value and reestablish in the NW corner of the parish, or maybe at the former naval air base in New Iberia with huge spaces to grow into right now we’re hemmed in.
