Can someone splain me what happened to our once-poud baseball program?

It's funny to see some fans using 2010 as a rallying cry because of Jay's article about the 2nd half of the season. This team is no where as good as the 2010 team.

Cantrelle would've started, I know this team had Trahan and Conrad, but one of those guys would have been moved to another position, Tyler Girourd was a good player, but Trahan, Conrad and Cantrelle would have been a great infeild ala Hunter Kasuls, but you would not have been able to keep both off the field. A healthy Gunner would have been one of the weekend starters.

Todd Lott would have been hard to keep out of the lineup. May not have been an everyday guy, but would have platooned.

Tell me your kidding? Hayden couldn't hold BT or Jace jock strap. Those guys were grinders, thrown down type of players who played with there hair on fire. Neither of those guys would have been moved for Hayden, thats a fact.

CajunAmos. That is exactly what I was saying. You and I agree. I never said he would have started over Trahan or Conrad. I said he would have started somewhere.

Let me say this, I don't think so either. But had he worked with Deggs in the batting cages are you saying Cantrelle would not have been a better hitter than he is today? I mean if Deggs is the man, then why wouldn't Hayden project better at the plate under his tutelage?

The question I asked was intended to imply those guys with Deggs vs current guys with JT/Wells. All of the discussion makes is pretty clear. Cantrelle possibly could have played out of position on that team, but other than that, we don't have a single player on the roster playing well enough to supplant anyone in that 2014 lineup. That tells you just about everything you need to know about where this program is trending.

Glove wise Trahan is better, no doubt. Both kids played QB in HS and Cantrelle is every bit of an athlete as Trahan. I watched both in HS play and there is no question in my mind.
