Let me say this, I don't think so either. But had he worked with Deggs in the batting cages are you saying Cantrelle would not have been a better hitter than he is today? I mean if Deggs is the man, then why wouldn't Hayden project better at the plate under his tutelage?
The question I asked was intended to imply those guys with Deggs vs current guys with JT/Wells. All of the discussion makes is pretty clear. Cantrelle possibly could have played out of position on that team, but other than that, we don't have a single player on the roster playing well enough to supplant anyone in that 2014 lineup. That tells you just about everything you need to know about where this program is trending.
But let's place it in context then. Because those guys success at the plate was tied to their work with Deggs. So if you are going to compare them to our current team, Deggs is part of that formula of success and that needs to be considered when drawing conclusions.JMO
