The Disney cooperation was negotiating a deal to purchase land just past the Air Port to billed a Cajun Park with all the bells and whistles. The big problem was that the land along the hwy. was owned by Noland. He was willing to lease but not sell. Disney don't lease, so they packed up and left.

He owns the land. It’s up to him how he wants it developed. I’m not sure I believe this story is accurate. I’ve heard a slightly different version for the North Shore in the Florida Parishes.

Funny how Disney wanted to be in Louisiana so badly yet I still see them only two places in USA.

....way way back when.....my grandpa was surveying the land where the old airline highway was to go......didn’t buy any of the adjacent property since that was an unfair advantage as a business deal!
