Ben played FS as a sophomore and Slot as a junior. He played QB as a senior. He does not hold an offer from UL at this time.

Dual threat QB was the position last discussed. He holds letters of acceptance to two of the military academies so those are definitely on his mind.

He was very excited to attend and really enjoyed the visit. Coach Looney and Coach Joshua Thompson have been very welcoming and are great people. No matter what happens, he's really appreciated the experience and the interest shown by the Cajuns. Best of luck to you guys.

Thanks for the information. Clearly watching his video, he will get scholarship offers somewhere. For UL, he looks like he would fit the slot position which the Cajun staff has the young man from E.D.White committed. He's definitely an athlete, I just don't see where he fits in at UL for a scholarship at this time.

The life of a walk-on is tough but great opportunity for the young man to continue playing the game he loves.

It's even better to have opportunities for instate schools with good academics

Just curious did he get any FCS or D2 scholarship offers? I have always assumed if you are good enough to get a PWO at UL and ltu at Ruston you could get a scholly at a school like an Ark Monticello, delta st or north Alabama, if not an SLC. Did he get any scholarship offers at any level?

Yes, he has few DII offers from the GSC and the GAC. He also has letters of assurance to a couple of the military academies. Also received approx 15 NAIA offers.

NAIA do offer scholarships however with tops it's more affordable to walk on a Louisiana public school most of the time.

........Not sure of this completely but was told by a buddy that his relative will receive at LSU as an LSU PWo all except the extra cash for expenses and tuition some of which tops will Help! Anybody know for sure?
