Not what happed. Huds recruiting ties were in Mississippi. When he lost Rebow he lost his only effective LA recruiter. The poor recruiting in LA combined with sanctions did him in.

That is exactly what happened. Good analysis on the recruiting issue. However Hud gave more to this university than he took. He showed this program can win and he was instrumental in raising funds to help get the APC get built correctly. Yes he had issues but he should be thanked for what he did here on an overall basis.

Hud recruited some great guys that never made it on the field. We can't afford that again.

Just for gits and shiggles, I checked out all the in state FBS programs for 100 Louisiana prospects that are either signed or hard commitments:

LSU&A&MC@BR: 9
LTU@R: 5
Tulane: 4
ULM: 0
Louisiana: 12

To be fair, lsu's guys were all top 25

I'm sure there will be quite a few grade casualties in that top 100. Hopefully we don't have any of them.

What do you think of the 2 1/2 we got from da parish? I'm thinking after a redshirt year they should really help out.

I didn't track the ones that went out of state, Boomer; nor did I check the FCS schools.

I only did FBS in state.

So what percentage of below top 100 will bomb, and what percentage won’t make their grades. Boy,oh boy, we embrace that half empty glass like no other fan base.
