Lol calm down boys, I understand you're hurt.
I know it's hard being a cajun fan lol
According to 247 recruiting (I looked at every single UL commit listed), we've got three commits that show to have offers from La Tech. La Tech's list of commits shows to have two that were offered by UL. We show ZERO commits that hold offers from LSU, A&M, Texas, Ole Miss, or Miss St. I'd say that means that any talk of UL's incoming class being one of the top classes in the country is pretty lame. If you take the time to look at them all, you'll see that most of our commits hold only SBC, CUSA, or FCS offers. It'll be a respectable signing class, but none of our upcoming opponents will lose any sleep over it.
Over hyping everything about our football program is what we did during the Hudspeth era. I refuse to go down that road again. We'll see if all the hype about this class is legit in the next few years.
Turbine, please take these posts and put them in the recruiting thread. Thanks
Spot on. I wouldn't get caught up in the rankings as long as you're not near the bottom you're good. Plus you have to look at the avg. ranking per recruit. If you have a bigger class you're more likely to finish ahead of another school. Per 247, Tech is 2nd in CUSA with 15 commits at an 82.78 average. North Texas is in 1st place with 22 commits but has a lower average at 82.73. Cajuns have 21 commits with a lower average of 82.41. I always take a wait and see approach with rankings. A lot of times when you look back on a class it's the walk on or lightly recruited player that becomes the star and leader on the team. It's all how you develop them and how much heart and desire the player has to become better.
